Lamplight was made by Koen, by hand, one page at a time. The quotes are written for these books; the stories come from the people who read them.

No account, no tracking cookies, no ads. Your browser keeps a random number so your hearts and bookmarks are remembered; nothing about who you are is in it.
What the room saves: the hearts you give, a count of visits, shares and readings (once a day per visitor, without your name or address), the margin notes you write, and what you choose to send: a story, a quote idea, or a gift with names and a short note. Gifts can be read by anyone who has the link.
Stories are read by one person before anything is printed. A story appears only under the name you chose, or with no name at all. Small edits (spelling, a name taken out) can be made so no one can be recognised.
Nothing is sold or passed on. The room runs on Railway; your internet address is used only for a moment, to stop spam, and not stored.

Want a story, a note or a gift taken out, or changed? Write to koentermaat1@gmail.com with its title or link, and it will be removed, usually within a few days. No reason needed.
